Nun ist auch endlich die DB Navigator Applikation auf dem iPhone verfügbar, welche sogar kostenlos angeboten wird. Erinnert mich stark an “Fahrplan”, denn im Grunde ist es fast die selbe Art, welche ich recht gut finde. Bahnfahrer werden diese sicherlich mehr als häufig nutzen, denn der Aufbau sieht recht akzeptabel aus. 
Hat der Fahrer eine Verbindung heraus gesucht, die ihm zusagt, kann diese direkt gebucht werden und es kann eine Fahrkarte gekauft werden. Ist recht praktisch, denn so spart man sich den Weg zum Schalter. Vorraussetzung ist jedoch, dass man als Kunde registriert ist und das iPhone MMS empfangen kann.

Ab dem 13. Dezember neue Services von bahn.de für Internet- und Handynutzer / Kostenlose iPhone-Applikation mit neuen Funktionen
Heute müsste die Applikation im AppStore zu finden sein, jedoch bis zum jetzigenm Zeitpunkt ist davon noch nix zu sehen. Sobald es was neues gibt, werdet Ihr es hier lesen.
(Berlin, 8. Dezember 2009) Vom Kursbuch zum mobilen Reisekonfigurator: bahn.de führt am 13. Dezember zahlreiche neue Planungs- und Buchungsservices für Nutzer von Internet und Mobiltelefonen ein. Neu ist unter anderem eine kostenlose Applikation für das iPhone, die unterwegs den Nutzer zum Bahnhof leitet sowie ihm dort und im Zug alle nötigen Informationen gibt. Außerdem neu: für Dritte buchbare Online-Tickets, ein neuer Vergleich Bahn-Flug-PKW sowie eine kostenlose Reisemappe mit Informationen zum Zielort der Reise.
Fahrplaninfos gehören zu den beliebtesten Services im mobilen Internet. Jetzt bietet die Bahn dazu die offizielle iPhone-Applikation an. Noch im Dezember können iPhone-Besitzer den “DB Navigator” kostenlos im App-Store von Apple herunterladen. Sowohl in der iPhone-Applikation als auch auf dem mobilen Portal mobile.bahn.de werden die aktuellen Pünktlichkeitsinformationen direkt in der Auskunft angezeigt.
“Eine originale DB-Applikation für das iPhone wurde von unseren Kunden stark nachgefragt”, erklärt Jürgen Büchy, Geschäftsführer DB Vertrieb. “Wir freuen uns sehr, dass wir unseren Kunden mit dem DB Navigator eine innovative mobile Lösung mit GPS-Standortbestimmung bieten können.”
Auch die Buchung von Online-Tickets wird noch einfacher: Im Zug können Reisende jetzt auch ihren Personalausweis zur Identifizierung nutzen. Bisher ging dies ausschließlich mit BahnCard, EC- oder Kreditkarte. Darüber hinaus können Kunden Online-Tickets jetzt auch für Dritte buchen.
Für viele Kunden endet die Reise nicht am Zielbahnhof. Deshalb ist ab sofort die Buchung eines Autos über DB Carsharing direkt im Anschluss an den Fahrkartenkauf möglich. Ein weiterer neuer Service für Online-Kunden ist die Reisemappe zum Herunterladen mit Informationen rund um den Zielort, die in Kooperation mit dem Reiseführer-Verlag Marco Polo erstellt wird.
Für die Kunden, die bei ihrer Reiseplanung neben der Bahn auch das Flugzeug oder das Auto in Erwägung ziehen, bietet bahn.de ab dem 13. Dezember einen Online-Vergleich an. Dieser berechnet neben den Kosten auch die jeweils nutzbare Zeit während der Fahrt und die Umweltbilanz für die Reise.
Hilfreiche neue Services finden BahnCard- und bahn.comfort-Kunden im personalisierten Bereich “Meine Bahn”. So können ab sofort persönliche Daten direkt verwaltet werden. Darüber hinaus können zum Beispiel Prämien noch komfortabler online eingelöst werden.
